Q: Do you treat only backs?
A: We treat all injuries.
Q: Do I need a doctor’s referral to make an appointment for Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy or Chiropractic Treatments?
A: A referral from your doctor is not required for any of our services. Some Private Insurance companies do require a medical referral, it is best to check with your provider prior to your first visit.
Q: Are your therapists registered?
A: Yes, all of our therapists are registered with the following professional colleges:
- College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Canadian College of Massage Therapists
- Ontario College of Acupuncture
- Canadian College of Chiropractors of Ontario
Q: Do you direct bill my Insurance Company for my extended health care benefits?
A: This is dependant on your provider and if your policy allows for direct billing.
Physiotherapy, Massage Therapy and Chiropractic Treatments
Q: How many treatments will I need?
A: Every condition and individual in unique. Your therapist will advise you of an appropriate treatment plan after your initial assessment.
Q: How long will I be in the clinic for each session?
A: This depends on the injury and type of treatment you require, but expect to be in the clinic for approximately 30 minutes to one hour.
Q: Does extended health cover my treatment?
A: Some health plan’s cover Registered Therapy treatments. Check with your provider for more specific details.
Q: Do you treat people with Workplace Safety & Insurance Board (WSIB) or Auto Insurance claims?
A: Yes, we would be happy to assist you in your recovery and we are able WSIB or your auto insurance provider directly for your treatment.
Q: What does a physiotherapy treatment involve?
A: Treatment techniques which may be used include:
- manual therapy
- laser therapy
- active range of motion
- home exercise programs
- gait analysis
Q: How long of a Massage should I book for?
A: This generally is based on the reason for massage. Massage sessions can be 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes in length. If the treatment focus is addressing the full body, a one hour massage is recommended. If it is a smaller treatment focus, a 30 or 45 minute massage can be enough to address specific issues. We recommend a 60 minute session for your initial treatment to allow for assessment and treatment. At the end of this treatment your therapist will suggest length of treatment for your next appointment.
Q: For my Massage treatment do I have to be completely undressed?
A: No, for maximum results, skin on skin contact is the most beneficial but comfort of undress is totally up to the client. Our therapists can work around clothing if you are more comfortable. It is imperative that the client feels comfortable and is in control of their treatment.
Smoking Cessation Program?
Q: How many sessions do you need?
A: You will be smoke free after only one session, however we find our clients remain smoke free if they come in within the first week for a second treatment. The cost of this session is included in the cost of the treatment.
Q: How many sessions are included in the cost of the Smoking Program?
A: The cost of the smoking program includes your initial treatment and up to three additional treatments if needed over the following three months.
